Hanukkah Gift for a Colleague in Israel — 5 Kosher Boxes (2026)

Hanukkah Gift for a Colleague in Israel — 5 Kosher Boxes (2026)

Hanukkah gift for a colleague in Israel is a small, kosher gift box you send to a coworker's home or office for the festival (Hanukkah 2026 begins on the evening of 04.12.26). Five boxes from ₪78 to ₪150 cover almost every office budget, and every one is delivered nationwide. Not sure where to start? Our guide to Israeli gifts that support real producers explains what sits behind each box.

Hibuk Otef — The Story Behind Every Gift

Hibuk Otef (“Enveloping Embrace”) is a unique boutique gift initiative that brings together products from the communities of the Gaza Envelope and Israel’s southern and northern frontier, alongside works of art that commemorate the beauty of the region. The project was founded to support local producers, farmers and entrepreneurs who were affected. 60% of revenues go directly to producers from the affected communities.

What makes a good Hanukkah gift for a colleague?

Keep it warm, not personal. A good colleague gift costs roughly ₪78–₪150, is kosher for everyone on the team, and carries a story that gives people something to talk about at the coffee machine. All five boxes below are kosher under local rabbinate supervision, most Badatz, and none requires you to know your coworker's taste in wine or spirits.

Order any quantity. Send one box to a teammate, or send ten to a whole department. Home or office delivery anywhere in Israel is ₪45 before VAT and takes 3–8 days, so an order placed in the first week of November arrives well before the first candle. If you are sending from abroad to a team in Israel, the same boxes are delivered locally, so your colleagues never face customs.

Add a personal line. A short handwritten-style greeting can be attached to any box at no extra complexity: “Happy Hanukkah — thank you for a great year” is all it takes.

Choose by budget: 5 Hanukkah boxes for a colleague

    Rom Hanukkah Box — ₪78

The most modest option and still a proper gift. It holds a 44-candle Hanukkah set (“By Ofir's Light”) and two fine fruit preserves with no preservatives, in strawberry, forest-fruit, blueberry or orange. A good fit for a shared-desk neighbour or a big team. See the Rom Hanukkah box.

    Itamar Hanukkah Box — ₪88

The same candle set plus a fruit preserve and a chocolate snack, or a handmade chocolate bar from the north. Easy to pack in a bag for the commute home. See the Itamar Hanukkah box.

Warm Hug Hanukkah Box — ₪100

Built for sharing: a family memory game of Israeli wildflowers illustrated by Tali Matar, a handmade Galilee chocolate bar and an aromatic poured candle made by the “Noarei HaOr” project (alternatively a Negev basil-cashew pesto). A thoughtful pick for a colleague with kids at home. See the Warm Hug box.

    Neria Hanukkah Box — ₪110

The candle set, Israeli extra-virgin cold-pressed olive oil from Gaza Envelope groves (250 ml), a fruit preserve and a boutique handmade chocolate bar. Olive oil and sufganiyot go hand in hand, which makes this one feel properly festive. See the Neria Hanukkah box.

    Ofir's Light Hanukkah Box — ₪150

Our fullest colleague gift: the 44-candle set, handmade chocolate, two fruit preserves, Gaza Envelope olive oil and the cookbook “Cooking Together” from Be'eri Printing, a 72-page tribute to the region's farmers. Right for a manager, a mentor or a client-facing teammate. See the Ofir's Light box.

    The producers behind the boxes

The Ofir Liebstein candle set. The 44 Hanukkah candles in four of the five boxes are dedicated to the memory of Ofir Liebstein, a community leader from Kibbutz Kfar Aza who fell on 7 October 2023 defending his kibbutz. Each box includes a donation to the fund that continues his work: strengthening Gaza Envelope communities and nurturing young leaders.

Tali Matar, illustrator. Tali Matar, the house artist of the Israel Museum, drew the 50 wildflower cards in the memory game inside the Warm Hug box. Each set also includes a donation to the “Atid LaOtef” association for rebuilding the Envelope.

Be'eri Printing. The press printed “Cooking Together”, the 72-page recipe book included in the Ofir's Light box and available as an alternative in the Neria box. It is a small book with a big message: respect for the farmers who grow what we eat.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is it appropriate to give a colleague a Hanukkah gift? Yes. Gifts to colleagues are common in Israeli workplaces around Hanukkah, especially small food boxes. Choose a kosher, alcohol-free-friendly option so that no one on the team is left out.

How much should I spend on a colleague? Most people spend ₪78–₪150. The ₪78–₪110 range suits peers; the ₪150 box suits a manager or someone who helped you through the year. Prices are VAT-inclusive.

Are the boxes kosher? Yes. All boxes are kosher under local rabbinate supervision, most Badatz. Boxes marked “entirely Badatz” are also available.

How long does delivery take and what does it cost? Delivery to a home or office anywhere in Israel is ₪45 before VAT and takes 3–8 days depending on location. Pickup from our site at 1 Arbel Street, Shilat Industrial Zone (entrance to Modi'in) is free.

Can I send boxes to several colleagues at different addresses? Yes. We can coordinate shared or individual deliveries, and add a personal greeting card or company branding to each box.
