Har Odem Winery, Golan Heights. The boutique winery behind the red wine in the Afik, Itai and Alexander boxes, and in both Shefa MeHaTzafon boxes — Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, bottled at 750 ml. Har Odem sits in Israel's northern frontier, the area hit hardest by the war with Lebanon and by the evacuation of the border communities. Buying their wine in volume is direct northern reconstruction, not a symbolic gesture.

Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design — the "Otef Memory" project. Not a food producer at all, and that is the point. Bezalel-trained artists produced a body of illustrated work commemorating the landscapes of the Gaza Envelope, and selected prints go into the Itai box and several others at 15×20 cm on heavy uncoated paper. Founder Neta Lin Cohen is herself a Bezalel graduate, which is how the art line exists in the first place.

Ne'arei HaOr. The handmade herbal candles in the ₪75 entry box are poured into ceramic vessels by at-risk youth working inside the Ne'arei HaOr programme. Each candle is 9×9×5.5 cm. It is the least expensive item in the whole catalogue and the one with the clearest line between a purchase order and a young person's day.

What Delivery Actually Costs

Delivery is priced per address, not per box, which is the single fact that determines how you should structure a branded order. Sending to individual home or office addresses costs ₪45 before VAT per address — and critically, that is the same ₪45 whether the address receives one gift or a carton of four to twelve, so a family of colleagues at one site should be grouped. Consolidated delivery to a single collection point — one office, one warehouse, one event venue — costs ₪300–500 before VAT for the whole order, in the Netanya-to-Kiryat-Gat corridor; addresses in the far north or far south need checking before you commit. The practical rule: for a distributed or hybrid team of more than about eight people, per-address delivery is usually cheaper and always better received than shipping everything to an office where half the team is not sitting. For a team that shares one building, consolidated delivery wins outright.

How Israel Taxes an Employee Holiday Gift

This is the part overseas finance teams get wrong most often, and it is worth ninety seconds. In Israel a holiday gift to an employee is a fully taxable benefit — what Israeli payroll calls zkifat shovi, imputed value. It is added to the employee's gross and attracts income tax and National Insurance, and there is no exemption ceiling at all. This is true whether you send cash, a gift voucher, a loaded card or a physical box, so there is no tax-smart alternative to shop for. Two useful details follow. For vouchers, the employer's actual cost is imputed rather than the face value, which means a physical gift box of the same cost is not treated worse than a voucher. And the widely-quoted ₪240 per person per year is a different rule entirely: it is the ceiling on what a business may deduct for gifts to clients and suppliers — external parties, not staff — and separately the exemption for a gift marking an employee's personal occasion such as a wedding, a birth or a bar or bat mitzvah, once a year. A holiday is not a personal occasion. Anyone telling you a ₪240 employee holiday gift is tax-free is quoting the wrong rule.

Why Local Fulfillment Beats Shipping From Abroad

Because every box is packed and delivered inside Israel, there are zero customs fees and zero import duties, and no package is ever held at the border waiting for a recipient to pay a bill they did not expect. The threshold matters more than most senders realise, and it moved twice this year: Israel's VAT exemption on personal imports was raised to $150 in late 2025, then reverted to $75 on 2 June 2026. Shipments valued between $75 and $500 now come in duty-free but carry 18% VAT, and above $500 the full commercial regime applies. In practice that means a mid-range gift box shipped from New York or London to an Israeli employee will usually trigger a charge — and the person paying it is the person you were trying to thank. Hanukkah 2026 — Your Branding Timeline

Hanukkah 2026 runs from the evening of Friday 4 December through Saturday 12 December, and the first-candle date falling on a Friday is what makes this year tight. Friday and Saturday are not delivery days in Israel, so the last delivery day before the first candle is Thursday 3 December 2026 — there is no weekend grace period to absorb a slipped order. Working backwards from a lead time of about 7 business days from order and payment, the order deadline for a Hanukkah delivery is Tuesday 24 November 2026. For branded orders we recommend locking your logo file and card text down roughly a fortnight earlier, in mid-November, so artwork approval is not the thing standing between your team and a delivery date. If you are also shipping to individual home addresses, collect and verify that address list now rather than in the last week — an unverified address is by far the most common cause of a gift arriving late.
