BARBARY (Ashkelon, the south). A natural-snack maker from Ashkelon on the southern coast, within rocket range of Gaza. Their crunchy, no-fuss snacks are exactly the kind of thing that disappears fast on a base — and every purchase keeps a southern small business going.

Meshek Haviv (Pa’amei Tashaz, the Negev). The Haviv family grows Arbequina olives on Negev soil; Nissan Haviv hand-picks the fruit and cold-presses it within hours for maximum polyphenols and a TP quality mark. Their olive oil is among recipients’ most-loved items.
