New Baby Gift Delivered in Israel — Mazal Tov Boxes

New Baby Gift Delivered in Israel — Mazal Tov Boxes

A new baby gift delivered in Israel is a kosher gift box packed inside Israel and couriered straight to the new parents' door — no customs form, no import fee, and nothing for an exhausted household to sign for. You choose it from abroad; we hand-deliver it locally, usually within about 7 business days, and 60% of what you pay goes directly to the producers who made what is inside. For the wider picture, see our guide to buying Israeli gifts that support real producers.

Hibuk Otef — The Story Behind Every Gift

Hibuk Otef (“Enveloping Embrace”) is a unique boutique gift initiative that brings together products from the communities of the Gaza Envelope and Israel’s southern and northern frontier, alongside works of art that commemorate the beauty of the region. The project was founded to support local producers, farmers and entrepreneurs who were affected. 60% of revenues go directly to producers from the affected communities.

When to Send: the Eight-Day Clock

For a baby boy, the brit milah is held on the eighth day after birth, so a gift is normally sent on or just before day eight — which gives you a genuinely short window. Order within about 48 hours of hearing the news and a box lands comfortably before the ceremony; single gifts reach anywhere in Israel in roughly 7 business days, and we can lock a specific delivery date in advance if you are timing it to the seudat mitzvah. For a baby girl there is no fixed day: a simchat bat or zeved habat is scheduled when the family is ready, often several weeks out, so you can send on the day of the birth or wait for the date. Two practical notes for senders abroad: nothing is delivered on Shabbat or chagim, and a food gift that can be shared with the guests at the ceremony is considered especially fitting.

Which Boxes Contain Alcohol — and Why That Matters Here

This is the question almost no gift-basket site answers, and for a household with a newborn it is the one that matters most. Guidance for nursing mothers is that an occasional drink is generally considered acceptable if it is limited to about one drink and followed by a two-hour wait before feeding — but plenty of new mothers would simply rather not have the bottle in the house, and a box's name never tells you what is in it. So here it is plainly, for the five boxes below:

    • Alcohol-free, guaranteed: the framed art print (₪52), the Autumn Embrace box (₪112) and the Family Embrace box (₪177).
    • May contain alcohol: the Shaked box (₪77) is built around Israeli extra-virgin olive oil, but pomegranate liqueur or limoncello from Rimonim Winery is offered as the alternative in that slot — tell us at checkout and we will fix it to the olive oil.
    • Contains wine: the Premium Family Embrace box (₪295) includes a 750 ml bottle of Har Odem boutique red.

If you are unsure, ask us and we will confirm the exact contents of the box you are sending before it ships.

Why a Locally Delivered Baby Gift Beats an Imported One

When a gift is couriered from abroad it crosses a border, and the border charges someone — usually the recipient. That can mean a customs form, an import fee and a week or more in transit, landing on parents who are running on no sleep. A locally delivered gift never leaves the country: we pack it in Israel, a courier brings it to the door, and there is nothing to pay, clear or sign. Prices below are in shekels including 18% VAT, with an approximate USD figure at roughly ₪3.0 to the dollar (September 2026). First time sending from overseas? Our complete guide to sending a gift box to Israel covers timing, cities and costs.

Send Something for the Parents, Not Only the Baby

New parents are buried in onesies and plush toys within a fortnight; what almost nobody sends is something for the adults. Gift guides for new parents converge on the same advice — food beats clothing, because it is the thing they will actually use in the first exhausted month, and "it's easy to forget to eat" is the single most common note from postpartum experts. That is what these boxes are: things you can open one-handed at 3 a.m. — nuts, dried Israeli fruit, chocolate, date-and-nut energy bars with no added sugar — plus something that outlasts the newborn stage, like a framed art print for the child's room or a card game the family will still be playing in five years.

Choose Your New Baby Gift by Budget

Every box is kosher, gift-wrapped and ready to deliver across Israel, and you can add a printed "Mazal Tov" card to any of them. Listed cheapest first; you can order any quantity, from a single box to a workplace order.

    Framed “Zikaron Otef” Art Print — ₪52 (≈ $17)

A single framed art print from the “Zikaron Otef” collection, illustrated by Bezalel's Visual Communication department. The image is 13×18 cm in a 21×16 cm white or pale-blue frame, printed double-sided on 300 gsm paper, ready to hang or stand. Alcohol-free, non-perishable, and the one gift here that will still be on the wall when the baby starts school. View the framed art print.

    Shaked Box — ₪77 (≈ $26)

A compact welcome in a 10×35×10 cm designed box: 250 ml of Israeli cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil from Otef or Galilee groves, 250 g of Upper Galilee honey, and a 55 g pack of date-and-nut bars with no added sugar. Jam can substitute for the honey and, as flagged above, a fruit liqueur can substitute for the olive oil — say the word and we will keep it alcohol-free. See the Shaked box.

    Autumn Embrace Box — ₪112 (≈ $37)

New baby gift delivered in Israel — the alcohol-free Autumn Embrace kosher gift box

Our pick for a household that wants no alcohol in the room at all. A 120 g bar of handmade chocolate with nuts and Galilee honey, a 220 g preservative-free berry or strawberry jam, a 190 g jar of basil-cashew pesto (or a natural-cotton “Hibuk Otef” tote instead), and the Cooking Together recipe book — 72 pages of recipes from Gaza Envelope farmers, printed at Be'eri Print. Practical food plus something to read one-handed. See the Autumn Embrace box.

    Family Embrace Box — ₪177 (≈ $59)

The most fitting box here for a family growing by one, and also alcohol-free. It holds the “Hibuk Otef” family card game — 24 task-and-question cards built to open up honest conversation between participants of any age — plus a 15×20 cm Zikaron Otef art print, 100 g of low-temperature-dried Israeli fruit (mango, persimmon, apple, banana, blueberry), a 200 g roasted nut mix, 50 g of chocolate-coated nuts and two 55 g date-and-nut energy bars. The card game is the part that keeps working long after the snacks are gone. See the Family Embrace box.

    Premium Family Embrace Box — ₪295 (≈ $98)

Premium Family Embrace kosher new baby gift box delivered in Israel with Har Odem wine

Everything in the Family Embrace, scaled up into a 26×35×10 cm box with a carry handle, plus the Cooking Together recipe book, 250 ml of extra-virgin olive oil, a 100 g bar of handmade chocolate and a 750 ml bottle of “Alma” boutique red from Har Odem Winery in the Golan — cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and syrah. This one contains wine, so it suits a bris where the bottle is opened with guests rather than a gift aimed at the mother alone.

Want something else? We can build a custom box to any budget — just ask.

Meet the Producers Behind These Boxes

Every item carries the name of a real maker. Three of them, from these specific boxes:

Rimonim Winery — Moshav Shokeda, Gaza Envelope. A family winery of about thirty years, run by father and son, working with fruit rather than only grapes: pomegranate liqueur, limoncello, arak and craft beer. Theirs is the bottle that can appear in the Shaked box — which is exactly why we name it rather than let you find out on delivery.

Cafe Chocolate — Nawe Eshkol, Gaza Envelope. A boutique chocolate house whose founder, Dvir Karp z"l, was murdered on 7 October 2023 at his home in Kibbutz Re'im together with his partner Stav Kimchi z"l, in front of their two young children. His business partner Uri Steiner, who had run the place alongside him for six years, chose to keep making chocolate next to the memory, and the shop reopened. Every handmade praline from there is an act of quiet courage.

Ayelet HaShachar Apiary — Hula Valley, Upper Galilee. A veteran kibbutz apiary working the blossom of the Golan and the Hula Valley, and one of the best-known northern honeys in the country. Ayelet HaShachar sat on the front line through the Lebanon fighting and kept the hives going — buying its honey is direct support for a northern community that stayed.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add a personal “Mazal Tov” message?

Yes. You can include a personal note or a printed greeting card with any box, and we will print it and pack it inside before it ships.

    Which boxes are alcohol-free?

The framed art print (₪52), the Autumn Embrace box (₪112) and the Family Embrace box (₪177) contain no alcohol. The Shaked box (₪77) may include a fruit liqueur in place of the olive oil — ask and we will fix it to olive oil. The Premium Family Embrace (₪295) contains a bottle of red wine.

    Are the gifts kosher?

Yes — every box is kosher under local rabbinate supervision, and most carry Badatz certification. We can also match specific kashrut requirements on request, which matters if you do not know how strictly the family keeps kosher.

How quickly can you deliver in Israel?

Single gifts usually arrive anywhere in Israel within about 7 business days. For a brit milah on the eighth day, order within roughly 48 hours of the birth, and we can commit to a specific delivery date in advance. Nothing is delivered on Shabbat or chagim.

No — you can order any quantity, from a single box for one new baby to a larger order for a workplace or community celebration.
